SOLO is actually an acronym derived from combination of:
S: Structure
O: Observed
L: Learning
O: Outcomes
In context of learning, as it go higher, it will become more harder and complex. Therefore, SOLO in learning context means, classifying learning outcomes based on their complexity.
By using this, as a teacher, we will be able to assess works of our student based on quality instead of quantity.
In SOLO, teacher will use several aspect of the task that are unistructural, and several other aspect which are multistructural, after that being combine together as a whole.
SOLO also can be used in designing the currriculum in terms of the learning outcomes intended.
